USCG inspection in your pocket

Overview

Running a marine charter business poses many challenges, one of the most pressing is the organization between the vessels and the office. Documents, dates, inspections, certifications, required by the USCG state and various local regulators are required to be onboard. This doesn’t make pulling up information at the office very easy. Likewise, knowing and keeping up with every expiration date on vessels is a constant battle. This software allows for an owner, captain and crew to access the current and future status of all safety and regulatory paperwork. Keeping you up to code and ready for any inspection.

What Safe T Boat does

  1. Creates a one stop backup location for all documents required by the USCG, State and local governments backed up reliably on the Cloud provided by Amazon Web Services.
  2. Organizes each vessel’s various expirations into a first to expire format for easy inspection and planning.
  3. Provides warnings at 30 days, 15 days, and 0 days so you have adequate warnings to order equipment/file paperwork/install/ display etc.
  4. Organizes crew documents as well: Merchant Mariner credentials, medical, lifeguarding, health, liquor. Surprise inspection from the Health department? Boom! each completed handwashing certificate easily accessed and onboard. These categories can be adjusted, modified, deleted and placed an expiration date on.
  5. Provides easy access to and efficient download of Notice to Mariners.
    1. 167.65-45 Notice to mariners; aids to navigation. (a) Officers are required to acquaint themselves with the latest information published by the Coast Guard and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency regarding aids to navigation, and neglect to do so is evidence of neglect of duty.
  6. Provides a current NOAA weather station report. I know everyone has their own weather app that they love BUT we are working hard to have this download a ten day NOAA report to your phone so when the Cell Towers are down you still have something to reference.)  Coming soon!
  7. Logs Logs Logs….  Each boat seems to have their own set of checklists, maintenance logs, and the like.  Safe T Boat allows you to upload documents or just snap a picture to scan.  This way your systems can continue and Logs are on the boat but can be checked by anyone at their convenience.

Specifications

Android or Apple products (Smartphone or Tablet). Take an hour per vessel to sit down and go through everything on the boat that might need to be cataloged. We recommend an office personnel attack first uploading digital copies of documents etc then crew/captain of record to go through the physical vessel. Do as much as you can on the device found on the vessel like the boat Ipad. This way you don’t have to wait to download from the cloud on the water. Any logged in device can update and adjust dates and documents so you can ask a third crew who is probably more tech savvy to update the hydrostatic release expiration date and picture.

Easy payment structure

Pay per vessel not per user. This means give access to as many or few as you want. The main idea behind this is having a new Captain have them download the app and login and they can immediately give an accurate answer to “when do the fire extinguishers need servicing?” “when does the aspirin expire or is it already?” and at the same time, the office can pull up any posted document easily when they are in line at the county health department etc.

Coming soon!
